We got a..... "Shabin"!
Просмотров 488Год назад
Take a ride down the finished road to the cabin site and see our new "Shabin" (Shed/Cabin). We initially planned to build a small cabin and shed, but weighed the consideration carefully and decided to buy. We are glad, because now we can move ahead with range construction and other projects for the property.

I rented a tracked skid steer to build a 1/4 mile long road on our recreational property - Part 1 With no prior experience, I spent 80 hours with a Takeuchi Skid Steer. Here in part 1, it starts with great weather and then turns to 4 days of torrential rain. I make it to the half way point.
Last work day before heavy equipment comes in
Просмотров 268Год назад
This is the last work day cutting trees for the road into our recreational property. Our son Andrew helps get it done. Next up is the heavy equipment aka smallest track loader. That cart made a bunch of trips up and down an unimproved logging road 1/4 mile with fairly heave loads of tools and supplies. No suspension, but good enough in it's stock form for most applications around the yard. This...

Diesel #95 Through Slaty Fork - On30 Spruce Coal & Timber RR
how much did it cost?
@mupreport I rented from a smaller rental company and it was just over 1K per week (included delivery and pickup). When I was pricing it, the bigger companies like Sunbelt and United rentals were considerably more. I rented again earlier this year to dig a pond and grade here at the house and got the same machine.
Cool video 💯💪👀
Thank you for sharing your epic hike up to Spruce. I didn't know there was an other abandoned railline into Spruce. Wild, Wonderful West Virginia!
Thanks for the video. Brigade is on my next to buy list...nice shooting, how long is your barrel?
Great video! im about to tackle the road at my cabin. it needs major work.
Guy can’t grill for sh*t
I would love to know where that campground is!
Kristine, that campground is Revelles River Resort in Bowden, WV. Not far from Elkins, WV. There's a lot of full hookup spots on the river.
What inch barrel do you have?
Tick City these days, I know it gets hot but I would rather sweat a bit than have lyme disease. from a deer tick and I guarantee you there are a ton of deer on that mountain. As long as you don't hear banjo music in the distance or a loud cat squawl you be ok,
I made it here first in 1975. I was a student at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins WVA. Elkins had a pretty big train yard at the time and lots of coal trains were coming through often. We would jump them from time to time for a weekend camping adventure. One night or early morning the train came to a stop in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. You could see it was a big loop because we could see the train across from us. We got off the train at that time and made a simple camp. The next day we spent exploring what was left of spruce. You could hear the whistle from the Cass railroad across the valley. There used to be a large saw blade in the creek inside the loop before it went under the tracks. A beaver had made a pond of the creek further into the loop. Being young, idiot, selfish college kids at the time, we also took the phone that was in that shack you passed. We needed souvenirs of our adventure! I wanted the saw blade, but it was way too heavy to carry or roll out. We would bring a map along and use that to figure out where we were once we hit a road. Come Sunday morning, we would hitch hike back to Elkins. Probably visited Spruce 3 or 4 times in the fall of 75 and spring of 76. Thank you for the memories.
Great shots. Where's the ghost town?
I have used it for 2 years. it is bad. I haul firewood. Tongue broke n now main bolt holding front tire frame to frame broke through the metal n can't get bolt out. BAD DESIGN. WISH I HAD BOUGHT WAGON Solid STEEL TONGUE. PS I love tractor supply.
Exact thing the wheel moves front to back and the bolt is bent on the swivel
Did you find a better one?
Liked, Subscribed, loved the video!
Sorry for the many spelling mistakes. These phones aren't so smart after all.

I agaree with My fellow entusiastas. It's superb. The engineer remind me of the Baldwin Moguls we used yo have i'm Costa Rica, with low tenders. Only one sugestión: do mess up the flat car. They used to be dirty, oily and smelly.
Have a 2020 and we like it a lot. Yours has a few options that we don’t have, and our storage is a tad different.
Looking at getting this, primarily for wood hauling. Still holding up?
Yep, Aug 2023 now and we use it all the time.
Wow! I had a hard time believing this was not an actual prototype railroad! Scenery is incredibly realistic!! Great job! :-)
nice, exactly the info I was looking for. I was a little concerned that I couldn't hook it up to the ATV. thanks for the vid!
Very nice, Love watching these Videos as I get really good ideas because of the great Videography to get in and really do some nice work on my Layout. Really great Details in everything that I saw. Thankyou
Nice vid
So that’s progress. I left in the 70s so I wouldn’t have to see it.😢
Loved the video ya'll! Have you had any water leaks near the front? We had a leak under our bed and we had to through it away since there was mold. Thanks!
Hi Mike, start of 2nd season, unwinterized now, no leaks as of yet. Easter down in NC outer banks we noticed some of the laminate coming off the cabinets. Not sure what that's all about yet. Other than that the control panel freezes up every now and then and have to reboot.
@@JoeyRicard thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated!
The tracks are in pretty good condition all things considered. When will WV utilize them as an extension to Cass?
the lights under the recliners are just nice ambient lighting! (-:
we also have this unit and absolutely love it!!
You are livin' the dream, Brother! The SC&T is still earning its keep storing timber. Those were some mighty big beavers chewing around that stump...
Was the gun for a rape?
Spruce... Which tree was it?
where is the ghost town as in the title--you did not show this?
Great video!
Até quantas jardas a brigade tem precisão? E essa com barril de 8.5?
Did you just park off the side of the road? Im planning on camping there overnight then hiking out. Thanks
For this hike we parked by the 219 bridge. We used to park on our friends property (road crossing driveway). Good folks here, I doubt anyone would mess with a vehicle. That or park up at Snoeshoe. There's a trail down, but we've never gone that way.
Love the work you've done so far. How many acres is that property?
We love our 22rbs. In my opinion it’s the best true couples trailer out there. Sounds like your hubby is like me. 😂. I watch copious videos for everything. Josh the rv nerd sold us on the unit when we watched his videos.
A wise cowboy once said "always keep your guns just out of your woman's reach. She might still be able to get to them but at least you can get a running start when you hear the chair drag across the floor..."
Put those bottles out of their misery! Loved your editing on this one. Y'all have a happy Thanksgiving!
Hope we see you before NEXT FALL!!!!!! THX
Got you a nice utopia there, Joey...when are you going to put in the narrow gauge?
You run that by Doreen and we'll go from there! Believe me, it runs through my mind lol.
Hey guys, I have the same truck even down to the color with the 5.3. In your honest opinion how does the truck do pulling it down the road?
Honestly, as most of our travels is through our home state of WV, Hills hills hills, I wish I had more power. Now when we go down south with flats and rolling hills it's not bad, as expected. When we bought this truck, It was and probably still is a seller's market. If I had my way ( budget and wife) I would have bought a 2500 chevy or F250,350 Ford. But, I love the truck. For the other camper 4k lbs No boundries it would have been just fine. This Cougar loaded is pretty heavy. Sure, we can go anywhere, but it is pedal to the floor for WV and places like the Rockies.
All this AND PIZZA!!!!!! Livin the life!
would be great if they made some in 10mm, 40s&w, 45acp and 300blk
Do you mind if I ask what kind of sights are you using..
That's a Holosun red dot
"Outstanding Private Pyle! We may have found something you're good at...hell, I might let you become a rifleman in my beloved Corps"
I like that tent building. Lots of work done...plans for Winter??? I have that Maverick for my home protection unit!!!
Looks like you have as much fun with your guns as we do! Tom Clark
Can I see the complete layout somewhere? THX!
Yes, go on our other channel Trackside Scenery and you'll have to go back through the many videos, but there are a few videos including the building and concept - it's ruclips.net/user/tracksidescenery
Looking Good Joey!!!!!! But COLD is coming faster to our hills than we'd like!!!!
